I have to admit that the sole purpose for starting this blog was not to have another reason to tell my husband why I did not scrub the bathroom floors. Although it does sound better than-"I was catching up on the last five episodes of Real Housewives."
Truth is, I have always wanted to have a little piece of internet that I could call mine. My two passions in life are my baby girl and my makeup. For the longest time I could not decide whether to discuss baby or beauty on my blog. Finally I decided- I will just talk about both and so Mama Bear's Makeup was born.
As for the Mama Bear part, I am a first time mama to a beautiful happy 6 month old girl. Here's the proof:
In no way am I saying that in these past 6 months I have become an expert in all things baby. What I can tell you though is that from constant reading, research and just living, I have learned a ridiculous amount of information. Had I known some of these things ahead of time, I might have clocked a few more hours sleep or sprouted one less gray hair. I am always trying out different ideas and products that I would love to share.
As for the makeup part, I have always loved all things beauty from the time I was allowed to wear my Bonnie Bell lip gloss (admit it, you loved it too). From nail polish to lotions to eyeliner, I can't get enough. I am constantly on the the hunt to find my new favorites. I'm always trying out new products and raving or complaining about them to the baby. Although she does to try and eat my new makeup brushes, baby girl never gets too fired up over a great new blush or eyeshadow...yet.
So if you love baby things, great! It you love makeup things, wonderful! And if you love both, well then we are Meant To Be.
